Mystic Closet Recap

The Mystic Closet has become one of MTA's signature community initiatives, providing free clothing, shoes, and essential household items to individuals and families in need.

Our very first Mystic Closet was an incredible success, welcoming over 600 people who came to receive much-needed items. The event was made possible through partnerships with the Welcome Project, Mystic Learning Center, and Brooks Law Firm, along with the support of local social media influencers who helped spread the word throughout Somerville.

While created to support Mystic residents, the event expanded its impact by serving families from across the city, ensuring that anyone in need had access to free essentials. Through the generosity of donors, volunteers, and community partners, the Mystic Closet has helped reduce financial burdens, promote sustainability, and strengthen connections throughout our community.
